Michael John Gifford

Michael John Gifford, a longtime resident of Morgantown, WV, has left us to be with God on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the young age of 61. He was the son of late Elizabeth Saluga and stepson of Robert Saluga. Michael was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and served for a period of time in the Army. He was a proud vendor at the Blue Horizon flea market and worked diligently with his wife, Sandra Gifford, at Wal Mart for many years. Most recently, Michael worked at the Suncrest Town Center Kroger, where he loved being a part of the team. He was very dedicated to providing for his family. Michael met the love of his life, Sandra, as young children playing together. After his time in the military, he reunited with Sandra in 1980, where, not three months later, they were married and began to build their family of 15 children and his one stepson. He was Catholic by teachings from his side of the family. Michael is survived by his children, Kristina, Shawn, Jason, Stephnie, Nicholas, Amanda, Casey, Tristen, Courtney, Cody, Stacey, Jessie, Jessica, Jasmine, and Raven; his stepson, James Hunt; his sister, Teresa Gifford; his aunt, Angela Porreca; as well as many grandchildren. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, stepfather, and his loving wife. He will be welcomed home by this family awaiting him in Heaven. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched and impacted in the most profound ways. A graveside service will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Phyllis Agnew officiating. Michael will then be laid to rest alongside his loving wife, Sandra.
