Mildred Riley Herron

July 15, 1921 — March 8, 2016

Mildred Riley Herron , 94, of Brunswick, OH and originally of Cheat Lake area passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Mildred was born at "The Oaks" in Cheat Lake, WV on July 15, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Amos N. Riley and the late Nora C. Lowdermilk Riley. Mildred graduated from University High School and attended West Virginia University where she met her late husband of 68 years Richard D. Herron. She is survived by her son Charles R. (Carolyn "Kay") Herron of Strongsville, OH and a granddaughter Kathryn "Katie" Palermo of Ashville, OH and a grandson Richard "Rich" Clifton Herron of Wayland, MA. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown from 10a.m. until noon, The funeral service will be at noon with the Reverend Andrew Burd-Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery, Cheat Lake. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that you make a donation to Columbia United Methodist Church, 25453 Royalton Road, Columbia Station, OH 44028.
