Nancy Mcgowan Bell

Nancy McGowan Bell, 66, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, after a long illness. She was born into the loving family of the late William "Bill" and Helen "Toni" McGowan on April 19, 1956 in Morgantown.

Nancy married David Bell on July 9, 1977 and went on to work at Westover Bank in the computer department for many years. During this period, Nancy earned her degree from WVU and also completed work at the Madison School of Banking. Thereafter, Nancy worked at Golden Eagle Drilling Company in Nevada and overseas.

For many years, Nancy was active in the WV Wine and Jazz Festival, Ronald McDonald House, and the WV Public Theatre.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, David, of Morgantown; brother, Michael McGowan and wife, Robin, of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Paula Snider of Texas; nieces, Carrie Phillips and husband, Dwight, Lisa Bradberry and husband, Bart, both of Texas; nephews, Cameron Lassiter and wife, Kristen, Calen Lassiter and wife, Kate, both of Texas, Sean McGowan and wife, Mallory of Arkansas; extended family consisting of Glen, Judy and Jeff Martin, Molly Burnash and many additional loving family members and friends.

A small service consisting of family and close friends was held previously at Hastings Funeral Home.
