Nancy Jane Annonio

Nancy Annonio, 91, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital. Nancy was born in Morgantown on March 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Luigi and Elizabeth “Bettina” Annonio. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School and was a dedicated employee of Sterling Faucet for 45, years. Nancy was passionate about her heritage; she was an 80+ year member of the Sons of Italy, a member of the Catholic Daughters, BPW, Zonta Club and Columbia Lodge. She loved to cook and dance and loved life. She is survived by her sister, Helen McCord and a brother, Donald Annonio and wife Faye, as well as nieces and nephews from the Annonio, Pride, Fowkes, Finnin, Simoneau and Boyde families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Annonio, her sisters, Angeline Boyde and Julia Louise Annonio, a brother-in-law Paul G. McCord and a niece, Georganna Simoneau. Friends and family will be received at the St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane, Morgantown on Tuesday, December 22nd from 4-8 PM. A scriptural wake service will be held at the church on Tuesday at 7:30 PM to conclude visitation. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday, December 23rd from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father Carlos L. Melocoton, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
