Norma Defabio

Norma Helen DeFabio, 87, of 95 Hartman Run Rd., Morgantown, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, WV. Norma Helen was born in Grant Town, WV on February 8, 1926, the daughter of the late James Ryan and the late Jenny Pearl (Miller) Ryan. Norma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed flowers and traveling. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John J. DeFabio; two children, Margaret "Peggi" Michaels and husband Richard of Erie, PA, and Johnny "Jay" DeFabio and wife Gerry of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Matthew Marchinetti and wife Carla of Erie, PA, Jack Marchinetti and companion Amy Kuneman of Erie, PA, Jenny Hatch and husband Mike of Bruceton Mills, WV and Angie Thompson and husband Nicholas of Morgantown and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill, Dick, Les, Pat, Irish, Jack, and James Ryan, and Evelyn Jackson, making her the last surviving member of her immediate family. At the request of the family, private visitation and graveside services will be held. Interment will take place at the East Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norma's memory may be made to Monongalia General Hospital, 1200 JD Anderson Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505.
