Norman Ossman

Norman Frederick Ossman, 81, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at his residence.Norman was born in Dunkirk, NY on May 2, 1930, the son of the late Albert and Thelma (Reynolds) Ossman.He was a member of Rock Forge Presbyterian Church. He was a U.S. veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He retired as a toll collector from the NY State Thruway after 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel Anita Moser Ossman, a daughter Debbie Patton and husband, Dale of Morgantown, his grandchildren Samantha Lynn Slone and husband, Andrew of Martinsburg, Lindsey Stockdale and husband, Tim of Morgantown, and Katie Patton of Morgantown, a brother, Albert Ossman Jr. of Terra Alta, and his two beloved cats Hudson and Baby.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Mark Ossman. At the request of the family no funeral home visitation will be held. A private graveside committal service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Morgantown.
