Patricia Gertrude John

Patricia G. Morgan John, 96, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Sundale Nursing Home.

Patricia was born on November 28, 1927 the daughter of the late Hobson and Ida Mae (Fleming) Osborne.

Patricia worked at the West Virginia University Bookstore until retirement. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Morgantown. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, dancing, watching WVU football, playing bridge, and listening to music.

Patricia is survived by her son, Terry Morgan and his wife Patricia Kiger Morgan; grandchildren, Trish Morgan and her partner Nathan Meacham; Heather Angerer and her husband John; and Theodore Morgan and his wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Emmaline Angerer; Jack Angerer; Maeve Dowling; and Thea Morgan; and special nieces, Kathy Linton and Ruth Dorsey.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Charles Morgan, and her second husband Dale John.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown, on Saturday, February 3rd, from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Reverend Dick Hepler officiating. A private family committal service will be held at East Oak Grove Cemetery at a later time.
