Patricia Joann Nicholson

Patricia Joann Nicholson, 89, of Morgantown passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Guy and Clara (Houston) Young.

She loved to crochet, walk the trails, and read, and was also a faithful member of Nicholson Chapel Church.

Patricia is survived by her children, Rebecca Whaley (Randy), Larry Hilling (Susie), Debbie Hilling, Lynn Hilling Comstock, and Stephanie Hilling; brother David Young, and sisters, Judy Young and Louise Nicholson; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; step-children, Virgil (Debbie) Nicholson, Roda (Bobbie) Nicholson; 5 step grandchildren; and 7 step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. David J. Hilling, her second husband, Pastor Francis Dewey "Jake" Nicholson, and her two sons Terry Hilling and David K. Hilling.

Friends and family will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church, 1326 Summers School Rd., Morgantown on Saturday, October 26th from 4PM – 8PM, and again on Sunday, October 27th from 12PM until the time of the funeral service at 1PM, with Pastor Brady McDonald and Reverend Elmer "Scoop" Nicholson, officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Cemetery.
