Patricia Marie Pape

Patricia “Patty” Marie Pape, 79, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center. Patricia, who loved to be called “Patty” by everyone who knew her well, departed her loving family on February 19th, 2021 after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. Patricia was born in Cumberland, MD on November 21, 1941, daughter of the late Frances and George McKinley. Patricia was the mother to Trisha Trylch, her only child, whom she raised with love and devotion in Morgantown, WV, with her late husband, James Milton Pape. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years along with several brothers, Buddy, Sonny and George McKinley. She is survived by her daughter, Trisha Trylch; her only grandchild, Brandon Trylch; brothers, Gary and Bob McKinley and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her only grandchild, Brandon Trylch. Family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bharti, Dr. Lesnock, Dr. McBee and all the staff at Mon General who were instrumental in her care over the last 5 ½ years. Friends and family will be received at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, University Avenue, Star City, WV 26505 on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, from 11am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon with Father John McDonough as Celebrant. In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, cremation will follow.
