Paul Joseph "PJ" Groah, 31 of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his residence from apparent natural causes. PJ was born in Weston, WV on October 2, 1981, a son of Katherine L. "Kathy" Rice and her husband Edman of Morgantown, and the late Rodney Paul Groah. In addition to his mother and step-father, survivors include his two children whom he dearly loved, Dakota Paul and Brianna Michelle Groah; his sister, Betty Yvonne Layne-LaMar and her companion Shawn Champaign of Canton, PA, his half-brother, James Empoules of Lewis County; two nieces, Tristin LaMar and Morgan Champaign both of Canton, PA, and his companion, Brittany Davisson, whom he made his home with in Morgantown. PJ was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his children. He was a devoted son, uncle, brother who realized the importance of family. He was last employed by Allen's Auto Body in Morgantown as a mechanic. He loved tinkering with cars. Mechanically, there was almost nothing that he couldn't fix. Also, he enjoyed being on his computer, listening to music, being in the outdoors and spending time in the country working on his house. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, September 6th from 1-3 and 6-8 PM, and again on Saturday, September 7th from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with his step-father, Brother Edman Rice officiating.
