Pauline Lewis

Pauline Lewis, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Sundale Nursing Home. She was born in Kingwood on March 31, 1929, the daughter of the late Albert Uphold and Isa DeWitt Uphold. Pauline retired from West Virginia University as a custodian. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Steven Gillum, Sr. and companion Vickie Davis of Morgantown, her daughter, Janet Nestor and husband David of Morgantown; her grandchildren, David Nestor, Gary Nestor, Linda Carmody and husband Robert all of Morgantown, Steve Gillum, Jr., Elizabeth Hose and husband Brian all of Maidsville also survived by 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Lewis, daughter, Brenda Gillum and her brothers and sister, Audrey Uphold, Wilbert Uphold, and Evelyn Lewis. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Tuesday, October 29 from 5-8p.m. Visitation will continue at Nicholson Chapel Church on Wednesday, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am.
