Phyllis Teed Wafle, born August 18, 1915 in Katonah, NY, died November 8, 2013 at Mapleshire Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, WV. A resident of Fredericksburg, VA for most of her adult life, Mrs. Wafle had lived in Morgantown with her son and his family since June, 2012. She enjoyed a long career as a public school teacher in Virginia and was an active church member her entire life. Mrs. Wafle is survived by her three sons, Ferris Bleight Wafle, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA; David Teed Wafle and wife Trina of Morgantown, WV; and Benjamin Nichols Wafle and wife Kathryn of Fredericksburg, VA; and by seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Ferris Bleight Wafle, who died in 2001. She requested a private family memorial service.
