Ralph L. Cline, III, 38, of Fairview Ave., Morgantown, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief battle with A.L.S. with his partner and family at his side.Ralph was born in Morgantown on August 21, 1971, a son of the late Ralph L. Cline, Jr. and the late E. Darlene (West) Cline.Survivors include his longtime companion, Robert Pritchard of Morgantown a sister, Cathryne Phillippi of Morgantown a brother, Keith A. Cline and his wife, Annette of Las Cruces, NM and his nieces and nephews including Ashley Edwards and her husband Adam, Natasia Phillippi, Jake Cline and Melanie Brookman.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sets of grandparents and his favorite dog, Smokey.Ralphie graduated from Morgantown High School, and attended WVU where he majored in English and Psychology. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, and also played piano and keyboards. He liked Celtic culture, as well as dragons, mystical creatures and Harry Potter. He also enjoyed spending time with his two huskies, Buddy and Princess, and was devoted caregiver to his parents for many years.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 4-6 PM Monday, July 12, 2010. The funeral service will begin at 6 PM Monday evening in the funeral home. Following the service, Mr. Clineâs wishes for cremation will be honored.
