Raymond C. "Butch" Utt

Raymond C. “Butch” Utt, 72, of Morgantown, passed away December 1, 2015, at Mon General Hospital. He was born January 24, 1943 in Morgantown, WV; a son of the late Desmoine and Dana Gamble Utt. He retired after 25 years of service from the Lonestar Cement Company where he was a truck driver. Butch obtained over a million professional miles of driving. He later retired, after 17 years of service with Mylan Pharmaceuticals. He loved horses and had owned and showed them. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing. He belonged to the Dellslow Hunting and Fishing Club. He loved his family and life dearly. He will be missed beyond description by all who ever knew him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Jean Utt; his children: Raymond Jason Utt and wife Suzanne of Fairmont, Jeffrey Todd Utt and companion Rhonda L. Black and daughters, Shelby and Olivia; his grandchildren: Christyn Renee Rodeheaver and husband Randy of Morgantown, Heather LeeAnn Utt and partner Christine Wiktorowski of Morgantown, Alyssa Dawn Weaver and boyfriend Jordan B. Wean of Fairmont; great-grandchild, Aryn Elizabeth Rodeheaver; sister, Linda Conrad and husband Ralph of Michigan; brothers: Roy Utt and wife Paulette of Georgia and Dee Jay Utt and wife Barbara of Morgantown. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Freda M. Kerns of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Bobbie Joe Utt, Sandra D. Kelley and husband Ronald, as well as his brother Gary D. Utt. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Thursday, December 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, December 4th form 10a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11a.m. with Pastor Janice Smith officiating and Dee Jay Utt, Lay Servant.
