Raymond Dorinzi

Raymond Dorinzi, 79, Morgantown, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at his residence.Raymond was born in Morgantown on October 10, 1930, the son of the late Attilio and Genevieve (Focarelli) Dorinzi.He was a member of the Sabra United Methodist Church.He was a firefighter for the Morgantown Fire Department for 26 years, retiring as Lieutenant in 1982.He was an avid golfer and a member of Mountaineer Golf Course. He was also a member of numerous bowling leagues over the years.He is survived by his daughters Diana Sue Bosso and husband, Frank, of Stow, Ohio and Pamela Jo Easterling and husband, Sam, of Blacksburg, Virginia. His grandchildren Doran Bosso of Arlington, Virginia, Evan Bosso of Broomfield, Colorado, Amanda (Easterling) Lamb and Michael Easterling of Blacksburg, Virginia, his brother, Deno Dorinzi and sister Louise Reppy of Morgantown, and close friend, Loretta Williams of Westover.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Frum Dorinzi, and his brothers, Frank, Carl, Albert and Medor (John) Dorinzi.The family would like to give a special thanks to Morgantown Hospice, the staff at The Suites at Heritage Point, and his personal caregivers.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, September 24 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, September 25 at 10 am with Rev. Christopher Gudger-Raines.Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.
