Richard Lynn Lipscomb

Richard “Dick” Lynn Lipscomb, 82, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Stonerise of Clarksburg. He was born on February 18, 1939, in St. George, WV, son of the late Robert P. and Mirgel (Pifer) Lipscomb. Dick was known as a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was a Christian by faith. In his pastime, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Dick was survived by his children, Chris Lipscomb and wife, Renee, and Heather Hopkins; grandchildren, Olivia Hopkins, Caden L., Colton L., and Cohen L.; siblings, Roberta Wiles, Carolyn Hall and Bruce L. and wife, Martha “BB”; and ex-wife, Linda (McGregor) Lipscomb. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his sister, Grace McQuain. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Monday, October 25th from 12-2 PM. At the conclusion of the visitation, a graveside committal service will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Pisgah, WV with full military funeral honors conducted by the Westover VFW Post 9916.
