Robert Abe

Robert Kyle Abe, 50, of Mountain Ridge Road, Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Cheyenne, WY on September 16, 1961, the son of Roger Abe of Cumberland, MD and Ethel (Shepherd) Ashenfelter of Keyser, WV.He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ellen Porter Abe seven children including Blake Goodwin, Tyler Abe, Bobbi Jo Gibbner, Heather Brown, Tracy Fizer, Samantha Fizer and Jimbob Abe nine grandchildren his siblings, Roger, Scotty and Mark Abe his mother-in-law, Mary W. Porter a brother-in-law, Dan Porter and his best buddies, Ethan and Hunter.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Monday, June 18 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and again on Tuesday, June 19 from 10-12 Noon. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday afternoon in the funeral home with Dr. Doug Rosier officiating. Following the funeral service, the familyâs wishes for cremation will be honored.
