Robert Arthur Blaney

Robert Arthur Blaney, 90, of Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born May 31, 1933 in Morgantown, a son of the late Arthur Hartley and Mary Pauline (Reay) Blaney. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (McAtee) Blaney.

He was a career veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the U.S. Government Printing Office. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School and earned his B.S. Degree in Business from the University of Maryland. He continued his education by earning his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from George Washington University.

He is survived by his children, Robert R.S. Blaney of Orlando, FL, David H. Blaney and his wife Manuela of Rohrersville, MD, and Erin Blaney Fourhman and her husband Eric of Glenville, PA; grandchildren, Matthew S. Blaney, Megan E. Gunson and her husband Dominic, Ethan P. Blaney, and Andrew R. Fourhman.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Lillian Kathleen Guntner and Charles Morton Blaney.

Friends and family will be received at Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown, WV on Friday, August 4th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Larry Buckland officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with full military funeral honors being conducted at the graveside.
