Robert Clark

Robert Clark, 72, of Morgantown , passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his residence. Robert was born on April 28, 1940 in Maidsville, the son of the late Raymond Herbert Clark and the late Mildred (Lazzelle) Clark. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers and weed eaters. Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Melinda Ann Bates Clark; four children, Robert Clark, Derdie Straight and her husband Michael, Christine Graening and her husband Don, and Richard Cato and his wife Becky; three grandchildren, Loucrisa Templeton, Joey Carpenter, and Brian Carpenter; one great grandson, Justin Templeton; and two siblings, Ronald Clark and Shirley Hose-Lloyd. He is also survived by his fishing buddy and caretaker, Ralph Carey and several nieces and nephews. Robert Clark also cared for his father in his last days. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, George and Leroy Clark. In keeping with Robert's wishes, cremation services have been performed. Friends and family will be received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-7:30 pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 26th at 7:30 pm with Reverend Edward Ghuste officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in the memory of Robert Clark to Hospice Care Corp., 3363 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505.
