Robert Currence

Robert Lane Currence, 85, of Sugar Maple Hill, Morgantown, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010.Robert was born in Elkins, WV on February 23, 1925, a son of the late H. Blaine and Clementine Kerns Currence.He was a resident engineer with Consolidation Coal Co. Mines and a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II.Robert is survived by his wife, Roberta Mae Riley one son, Robert D. Currence one daughter, Pamela S. Riffle and four grandchildren, Jason and Ashley Riffle and Zachery and D.J. CurrenceIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothersFriends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Tuesday June 29th from 5-7pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 30th at 1:00pm at Elkins Memorial Gardens, Elkins, WV.
