Robert Stephen Glock

Robert Stephen Glock, age 73, passed away on August 23, 2024.

He was born on August 24, 1950, the son of Robert and Jean Glock.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from West Virginia University and dedicated his life to education, first as a teacher and later as an elementary school principal. He spent the majority of his career with deep commitment and enthusiasm as the principal of Riverside Elementary School. After retiring, Robert became a master gardener and loved spending time in his yard. He also thoroughly enjoyed being a Pappy to his four grandchildren (Seth, Taylor, Ellie, and Drew) and one granddog (Chi Chi).

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Suzanne Glock; daughters, Ashley Glock (Joe Abu-Ghannam), Lindsey Glock, and Tori Glock; and his beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his older brother, Richard Glock (Leslie).

Robert is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, S.T.D. officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Peace Garden Mausoleum with full military funeral rites being conducted.
