Robert Sollars

On Thursday, May 6, 2021, Robert E. "Bob" Sollars, Jr. , loving husband, and beloved friend of many, passed away at age 55 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Bob crossed the path of countless individuals during his careers over the years and rarely knew a stranger and was most noted for his Star City Hot Dogs, which he loved serving up to all. He married his true love, Karen Pickenpaugh in February 1999. Bob loved going with Karen to their camp in Bergoo, WV. He loved spending time riding whether on a side by side, an ATV, or a Harley. Karen and their fur family were his life. Bob is survived by his wife Karen Sollars, his fur babies, Maggie Mae, Persayis, and Squatch; brother, Joe Sollars; niece Joleigh and nephew Noah of Daybrook WV; Brother, Kenneth Sollars and his wife, Stacy, nephews Mathew and Aaron of Fairmont WV; Brother Jimmy Sollars and wife, Julie, nephews Justin and Aiden of Fairmont WV; Cassie and Joey Terlosky and daughter Lily of Daybrook WV. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sollars Sr., of Fairmont WV and his mother, Gwendolyn Sollars, of Daybrook WV; and sister-in-law Lisa Sollars of Daybrook WV. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
