Ruth Maxine Nimcheck, 91, Morgantown, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Mapleshire Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown, WV. She was born in Morgantown on December 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Curtis Edgell and the late Ada (Green) Edgell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Nimcheck. She was a member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church for many years and also attended Chestnut Ridge Church. She was the sole owner and operator of Morgantown Auto Body Works from 1976-2004. She lived her life for her family and loved spending time with all of them. She is survived by her daughters, Becky Nimcheck Cyphert and Melinda Nimcheck Staley and her husband Brinley; grandchildren, Gregory Michael Cyphert and his wife Heather, Melissa Ruth Cyphert Bass and her husband Jon, Joshua Ryan Staley, and John Paul Staley; great grandchildren, Hannah, Gregory, and Grant; and several nieces and nephews with whom she stayed in close contact. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Audra Spinella, Howard Edgell, Leonard Edgell, Mildred Heley, and Robert Edgell. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Skinner, who passed away in World War II. Friends and family will be received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Wednesday, June 3rd from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 4th at 11:00 AM with Doug Saesan officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
