Sharon Kay Berkshire

We are humbly serving the family of Sharon Kay Berkshire, 39, of Sunset Beach (Cheat Lake), Morgantown, who passed away unexpectedly, Monday morning, December 1, 2014 at her residence.

Born August 12, 1975 in Houston, TX, she was a daughter of Kathie Berkshire Stansberry of Morgantown and the late James Stansberry.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughter, Ashley Berkshire and fiance’ Michael McDonald of Romney, WV; her grandson, Radyn; her sister Rachel Coll and spouse Robert of Seguin, TX; her nephews, Ryan Schenk and Nicholas and Joshua Coll; and her grandmother, Marion Keuning.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter Keuning, and Margaret and Howard Stansberry.

Sharon had a free spirit and a soft soul, to go along with a smile that could light up a room. She had a passion for helping animals, and would be the first in line if anyone every asked for help.

She will be sorely missed.

Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Sunday, December 7th from 3-7 PM and again on Monday, December 8th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Following the service, the family’s wishes for cremation will be honored.
