Shirley Emogene Willard

Shirley Emogene Willard, 78, of Morgantown, went home to be with her Lord and join her husband in Heaven on Friday, May 23, 2014 from Martha's Manor in Morgantown. She was born in Morgantown on October 11, 1935, a daughter of Olive Luna (Taylor) Gennoy of Granville and the late Thomas Gennoy. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Willard) Pratt and her husband James of Morgantown and Kathy Willard Osburn and her companion Rick Smith of Petroleum, WV; her grandchildren, Tommy Willard and his companion Emily, Julie Willard, Kevin Pratt, Daniel Scott Getz and Jennifer Lawson and her husband Alvin; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Susie Enoch of Granville; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Joyce Eddy of Pentress, WV and daughter-in-law, Vickie Willard of Morgantown. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Willis Lee “Red” Willard in 2010; two children, Richard Lee Willard and Patricia Lynn Billie; a brother, Willard Gennoy and a nephew, Jeff Gennoy. Shirley’s favorite pastime was fishing and camping. She also loved taking car rides, playing cards, flowers and gardening. She completely adored her family, and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, May 28th from 1-3 & 6-8 PM and again on Thursday, May 29th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend David R.
