Shirley Summers

Shirley Rosalie âRoseâ Summers, 69, of Mt. View Road, Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Monongalia General Hospital.Rose was born in Morgantown, WV on January 11, 1940 the daughter of the late Edgar and Beatrice Gillespie Keefover.Rose enjoyed life, she loved the beach, collecting antiques and she loved the outdoors. Rose was a loving wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and a special friend who will be sadly missed.She was a former employee of Krogers in Sabraton. Rose is survived by her husband and companion Denzil Summers, her three sons, two grandchildren, one brother, two sisters and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister. A family funeral service was held at Hastings Funeral Home and burial followed at Summers Cemetery with Rev. David Hilling officiating.
