Susan Ann Cooley

Susan Ann Hood Cooley, 78, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

Susan was born on September 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Anna Mae Hegmann Hood and Merrill Roe Hood.

She was a lifelong resident of Monongalia County. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and was a graduate of Morgantown High School. Susan worked as an Accounting Clerk II at WVNET. She worked at WVNET for 33 years, prior to her retirement in 2007.

Susan was a Christian and attended St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and Chestnut Ridge Church.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and her beloved pets, Jojo, Gigi, and Bella. She was overjoyed to be a Mimi to her grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Suzy Cooley Henigin (special friend, Gregg), son, Paul Edward Cooley, III (Kristen) and her grandchildren, Emily and Kaleb.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Neil H. Coates.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time.
