Thomas Michaels

Thomas Michaels, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Thomas was born in Morgantown on July 28, 1934, the son of the late Robert and Anna Mae Smiers Michels.He retired from the Physical Plant at WVU.He is survived by his wife, Marcia Gebadlo Michaels, his daughters, Kay Michaels of New York City, Ann Michaels Messner and husband, Kristopher Messner of Martinsburg, WV, his grandchildren, James Michaels, Hansel Messner and Aidan Messner, his sister, Jean Unzueta and husband Ron of Torrance, CA and a brother, Fred Michels and wife, Dolores of FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Michels. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 6-8pm on Wednesday, August 17.
