Thomas Richard Adams

Thomas Richard Adams, 79, of Summerfield, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Promise Hospital, The Villages, FL. Tom was born in Morgantown, WV, on December 8, 1935, the second son of John and Susan Pavelko Adams. Tom lived his life for the Lord and was very active at the CMA Church in Morgantown. He graduated from University High School in 1954. He served the country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was an employee of General Paving for 34 years. Through all of his health issues, he was always smiling. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 46 years, Karen; their three children, Cynthia Cox and her husband Aaron of Core, WV, Lynn Greenwood and her husband Joshua of Leesburg, FL, and Matthew Adams and his wife Kelli of Morgantown, WV; two wonderful granddaughters, Lauren and Rachel Cox; his brothers and their wives, John and Jeannie Adams of New Waterford, OH and Joe and Judy Adams of Indiana, PA and his sister, Nancy Lyttle of Waynesboro, VA. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. A private committal service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Taylor County, WV. Friends and family will be received at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 317 Elmhurst St., Morgantown, on Monday, July 13th from 4 PM until the time of the Christian memorial service at 5:00 PM with Rev.
