Thomas E. âTomâ Black, Sr., 55, Left Fork Road, Wana, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010, at his home.Tom was born in Trenton, New Jersey on March 29, 1954, the son of the late James A. and Vera Shaw Black.He was an engineer in land clearing in New Jersey and moved to West Virginia to retire and as a hobby he enjoyed farming.He is survived by his wife, Jean Price of Wana, one son, Thomas E. Black, Jr. of Wana, one brother, Roy Black and wife, Beth of Pemberton, NJ one sister, Marie Bakos and husband Paul of Hamilton Township, NJ two step-sons, Chris Price and wife, Erica of Mapletown, Pa and Joshua Price and wife Miranda of Mannington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Roy Jr., Danny, Jay, Vera, Paul also one sister-in-law, Ruth Black.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Kirk Black.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 from 1-2:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2:30p.m. Following the service Hastings Funeral Home will provide cremation services.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in âTomâsâ memory to the Monongalia County Humane Society, P.
