Virginia Palmieri, age 87, of Morgantown, passed away July 16, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas where her daughter resides. She was born August 15, 1925, in Morgantown, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Paul Bohus and Jennie Borlon Bohus. Virginia had a strong faith and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Virginia was a tremendous homemaker, loving wife, and mother. She enjoyed working side by side with her husband Patsy and took special pleasure in cultivating and enjoying her beautiful flower garden. Her passions were cooking, quilting, gardening, and lovingly caring for her family. Her daughter Jeannette remembers her as a loving, generous, hard working mother sacrificing her needs and wants for others. Her daughter, Jeannette Whiting, her husband, Robert of San Antonio, Texas, and her grandchildren Justin, Lesley, and Robert survive her. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 68 years Patsy and her son Patsy Jr. Her two sisters Mildred Zeni and Mary Danish and her only brother Paul Bohus also preceded her in death. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Friday, August 16, from 4-8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Star City on Saturday, August 17 from 10a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11a.m. with Fr. John V. DiBacco as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
