Virginia May Smith

Virginia May Smith, 81, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at her residence. She was the daughter of Clark and Evelyn Dunn of Morgantown. Virginia graduated from Morgantown High School in 1957 and then went on to graduate from Morgantown Business College the same year. She retired from WVU in 2001 as a secretary. She enjoyed singing at various churches and gospel sings with her mother as well as going to yard sales. Virginia is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Duane Smith; her son, Gary E. Kiddy of Fort Ashby, WV; her daughter, Debra E. Adams of Lawrenceville, VA; sister, Emma Mayfield of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Nancy Starkey and husband, Allen, of Morgantown; sister, Donna Shaffer of Morgantown; brother, Clark D. Dunn and wife, Carmen, of Morgantown; brother-in-law, Donald M. Smith and wife, Cathy, of Middletown, MD; and sister-in-law, Patricia Hodom of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held with the requirement of all to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
