Walter Jackson Young, Jr.

Walter “Jack” Jackson Young, Jr., 59, of Morgantown passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his home.

Jack was born in Moundsville, WV on July 21, 1963, the son of Martha Swiger and the late Walter Jackson Young, Sr.

Jack was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, thrifting, and spending time with his family in his free time.

In addition to his mother, Jack is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Zella Young; son, Joseph “Joe” Young; daughter, Marci Moore; granddaughter, Macy Young; granddaughter Abby Moore; sister, Terry Cheek; and brothers: William “Bill” Young, Edward “Eddie” Young, Robert “Robby” McAbee, and Mathew Young.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Morgantown, WV 26505 for a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 15, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
