Wayne Robert Simmons, II, 58, of Morgantown, passed away August 3, 2011.Wayne was the son of the late Wayne and Arlene (Floyd) Simmons.Survivors include daughters, Ali Simmons of Florida and Misty Stalnaker of Fairmont grandchildren, Sydney, Madison and London sisters, Darlene Kelchak and George of Morgantown, Vicky Wilson and Joe of Southport, NC and Barbara Ferrell and Frank Kuhn of Morgantown and nieces, Jill, Leah, Lauren, and Terri, and nephew, Evan.Wayne was a 1971 graduate of Morgantown High School. He was retired from the WV Laborers Union. He enjoyed playing his guitar, camping, baseball and football. His favorite teams were the WVU Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates.A gathering for family and friends will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Sunday, August 7th from 2-5 PM, where everyone is encouraged to share their memories and stories of Wayne.
