Willa Verna Thomas

Willa Thomas, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Madison Nursing & Rehab of Morgantown, WV. Willa was born in Kentucky on September 19, 1921, the daughter of the late William Bowen and the late Zelma (O'Neal) Bowen. She was a Master Swimmer, gardener, and seamstress. She also enjoyed bird watching. She is survived by her daughter, Lee-Ann Thomas of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy O. Thomas; son, James Carl Thomas; and sister, Alta Faye Harrison. In keeping with her wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown with private inurnment to take place at a later date at the White Chapel Memorial Park in Troy, Michigan.
