May 5, 1938 — December 15, 2021

Wilma Jean Gibson, 83, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center. She was born in Pennsylvania on May 5, 1938, a daughter of the late Edward M. and Frances W. (Hawkins) Gibson. Wilma retired after working in the Accounts Payable Department of WVU. She was a dedicated member of Eden United Methodist Church in Stewartstown serving as the church pianist for many years. She also proudly served as church treasurer. When she was able to travel, she loved taking bus tours or taking trips with relatives. Marion Road; her sister, Ruth A. Lynch and her husband, John of Chambersburg, PA; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved very much and took great pride in their accomplishments and laughed at their antics! In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Clyde, Ralph and one sister, Lillian. Private services were held followed by internment at Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made in Wilma’s memory to Eden Cemetery, c/o Charles Gibson, 1690 Pt. Marion Road, Morgantown, WV 26508. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements and condolences may be made online at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com.
