Zeda Selby

Zeda Ruth Selby, 89, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 2, 2016. She was surrounded by her husband of 65 years and her daughters. Zeda was born in Pisgah, WV on June 20, 1926, the daughter of the late Gilbert R. Everly and the late Minnis (Christopher) Everly. Zeda was a devoted wife and mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, crossword puzzles, and writing in her journal. She is survived by her husband, Ray R. Selby, Jr; 1 brother, Elvidore Everly; 1 sister-in-law, Patricia Everly; and 4 daughters: Maurena Radford, Robin (Byron) Dalton, Tracy Stevens, and Jodi (Shawn) DeVall; grandchildren: Amanda (Matthew) Metheney, Brynn Dalton, Ashley (Pedro) Nicolas, Hillary (Jamie) Cain, Matthew Stevens and fiancé, Melanie Bartolovich, Levi DeVall and 4 great-grandchildren; Katie and Taylor Pechinko, Jacob and Coalton Cain, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her great-grandson, Jaxton Nicolas; 2 sisters, Lova Bryte and Mary Clawages; brother, Thurman Everly, and sister-in-law Alda Everly. Friends may be called at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 6 from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00 am., officiated by Pastor Dan Meadows. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Morgantown.
