Welcome to
Hastings Funeral Home & Omega Crematory

Family owned and operated since 1952.

Welcome to Hastings Funeral Home, where we have proudly served the Morgantown and our surrounding communities with compassion, dignity and respect since 1952.

In 1952, Dewey S. Hastings and his wife, Mary, purchased the property at 153 Spruce St. and began the operation of their funeral home. Although their beginnings were humble, they have been blessed by the citizens of this county and beyond by making their funeral home the largest single provider of funeral and cremation services in the area.

The Hastings welcomed their two sons, Dan and Dewey, into the business. Young Dewey has since retired, leaving his father and brother in charge of the day-to-day operation of the funeral home. Grant Hastings, Dan's son joined the staff of the funeral home as a full-time licensed funeral director, and represents the third generation of the Hastings family to service.

Over the years, the funeral home has gone through a number of changes - from additions to the building and remodeling projects, to the acquisition of surrounding properties to enlarge the parking lot. Our funeral home offers three well-appointed visitation rooms for our families to receive guests in, valet parking for those who request it, a well lit parking lot with ample off street parking, and a funeral planning / merchandise area that is unmatched in the area. When the time comes to take a break while you are a guest in the funeral home, we also offer two lounges complete with a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, café tables and many other amenities.

For more than 30 years, we have also operated our own crematory for those who's wishes involve cremation as their final method of disposition. Our staff of professionals are highly versed and well-trained in all aspects of cremation from available service choices, religious beliefs and regulations, and all legal aspects involved.

In all, we have six licensed funeral directors with combined experience exceeding 150 years in the funeral industry, five licensed crematory operators, a full office staff with a notary and licensed insurance agent, and many part-time staff members to assist with services.
