Antoinette Blanche Demchak Porter, 99, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Madison Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown.She was born in Oil City, PA on October 7, 1913, the daughter of the late Peter Demchak and the late Josephine Shubelak Demchak.Survivors include her three children, John âJackâ Porter and wife Elizabeth âLibbyâ of Morgantown and their children John David Porter and fiancée Angie Stratton, and Beth Ann Goodwin and husband Douglas Kathleen Holmes and husband William of Fairmont, and Karen Zuccari and husband Marion of Morgantown and their children Nicole and Michael Zuccari an uncle, Joe Salva of Michigan and her caregivers Gertie Opolinsky, Edna Seymour, Mae Burgess and Toni Castelli.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Porter on August 4, 2000 and a younger brother, Joseph Demchak.Antoinette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who took great pride in raising her family. In her spare time, she was an avid in crocheting and reading. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4-7 PM. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 6:45 PM Wednesday evening in the funeral home to conclude visitation. On Thursday, December 6, 2012, Mrs. Porter will be moved to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City where she will lie in repose from 10 AM until the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father John V. DiBacco and Father Vincent Joseph as con-celebrants. Interment will follow in the East Oak Grove Cemetery.
