Margie Lee Templeton, 85, of Morgantown, WV passed away late Wednesday evening, April 25, 2012 at Lehigh Commons Assisted Living in Macungie, PA. Margie was born on Irish Ridge in Preston County on November 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith Salisbury.Survivors include four of her children, Lawrence Templeton and his wife Sharon of Morgantown, WV, David Templeton and his wife Lucy of Cross Lanes, WV, Debbie Pirlo and her husband Vaughn David of Mesa, AZ and Tracy Hammerbeck and her husband Kurt of Macungie, PA Son-in-law Don Gagne, her 10 grandchildren, Scott Templeton, Courtney Cramer, Jim Gagne, Crystal Anderson, Katie Pirlo, Kasey Opel ,Faith Hammerbeck, Will Hammerbeck, Samuel Templeton and Joshua Templeton one brother, Richard Salisbury and his wife Evelyn of Morgantown and one sister, Jeanette Cole of Tunnelton, WV four sister-laws Sally Salisbury, Bea Salisbury, Lorraine Templeton and Mary TempletonIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William John Templeton one daughter, Mary Gagne and two brothers, Wallace Salisbury and Marvin Salisbury.Margie was a graduate of Morgantown High School and attended Fairmont State College. She lived in First Ward much of her early life after which she moved to the Grafton Road. She worked in retail and was retired from Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Morgantown Chapter #35, Order of the Eastern Star and the Morgantown (former Madigan Ave.) Church of Christ. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Sunday, April 29 from 4 to 7 PM and again on Monday, April 30 from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10 AM with Gene Kessel officiating. Interment will follow at 12 Noon on Monday at West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown. Flowers will be accepted at Hastings Funeral Home or donations can be made in lieu of flowers to any hospice in Margie Templetonâs memory.
