Herbert M. âBudâ Warman, Jr., 82, of Taylor County, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at Madison Nursing & Rehab., after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. Bud was born in Morgantown on September 28, 1929, the son of the late Herbert M. Warman, Sr. and the late Genevieve E. (Fleming) Warman, both of whom were descendants of pioneer families of Monongalia County. He was a 1948 graduate of MHS where he was a track star and football player. Bud was known for his wit and sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping trips with his wife and their best friends, Ralph and Marie Carrico. He loved music and had a fabulous baritone voice. He worked as a painter in the construction industry and was a member of Local 850 Painters, Decorators, and Allied Trades Union, for which he served as business agent and financial secretary for many years. In the years immediately prior to his retirement he was employed by the WVU Physical Plant. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn R. Wells Warman, and daughters, attorney Cheryl L. Warman of Morgantown and Gina Warman Bouillet and husband, Ronald of Pinehurst, NC a sister-in-law, Emma Jane Wells Cole, and nieces Leigh Ann Costello, Elizabeth Barbin, and Susan Freeman, all of the Chicago area an uncle, Dale Warman, of Baltimore, MD a nephew and several nieces in New York and his beloved pets. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Warman Harris of New York his mother-in-law and father-in law, Opal M. Wells and T. Murriel Wells of Morgantown his uncles, Dr. W. Merle Warman, Dr. Carl M. Warman, and James C. Warman, of the Mileground his brother-in-law, Dr. Edmond R. Cole of Illinois and lifelong friends George Kercheval and Robert Coker. The family gives special thanks to Ashley Thorn, Kim Green, and Linda McAfee, the caregivers who assisted his wife so that he could remain at home as long as possible the staff of the Madison Center and the many friends and neighbors who have provided their labor, kindness, and support throughout Budâs illness. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 2, and again on Tuesday, April 3, from 10-11 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Union Cemetery, Morgantown.
