Prentice Orval (Dill) Dalton January 11, 1932 â" March 10, 2012Prentice Orval âDillâ Dalton, 80, of Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, passed away March 10, 2012 at Ruby Hospital surrounded by his family. Dill joined his wife of 56 years, Deloris âSisâ in heaven. Dill will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He taught us to work hard, watching him run his beloved farm and family business Dalton Brothers Lumber/Mountain View Lumber for many years with hands that were as strong as the love he gave. He gave more to each one of us than he will ever know dedication to family and friends was always his priority.Dill was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Mae âSisâ Dalton. He is also survived by seven children and spouses, Mary Jane âSuzâ & Stanley Kerns, Brenda Kay Dalton, her companion Rusty Howe, Donna & Art Nicholson, Charles âBusterâ & Joann Dalton, Angie & Mike Ledsome, Christina Mae & Jeff Kennison all of Morgantown also a daughter Susan & J.C. Collins of Bruceton Mills 11 grandchildren, Amy Laudermilch, Jason Nicholson, Chad Nicholson, Amanda Shaffer, Dustin Laudermilch, Annie Dalton, Andy White, Ashley Collins, April Ledsome, Clay Collins, & Jacob Kennision seven great grandchildren Kirstin Nething, Haley Nicholson, Dakota Shaffer, Haden Nicholson, Maddie Shaffer, Regan Laudermilch and Jonah Shaffer and his little buddy Dago. His life was also blessed with 15 siblings and spouses Okey & Barbara Dalton, Velma & Ralph McDonald, Patty & Ronald Hilling, Wilma Hilling Forquer, Ruby Kessler, Tommy Dalton all of Morgantown. He was preceded in death by his parents Solomon & Sadie Dalton, his in-laws, Charlie and Cora Hilling his siblings Ann Dalton, Rachel Baker, Marcella Clark, Melva Blosser, Eugene Dalton, Opal Davis, Jacob Dalton (infant brother) and Solomon âNipâ Dalton, also a Grandson Bo Laudermilch.Dill attended Burns Chapel Church. Pap will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him and loving him. May the open arms of his wife, Sis greet his smiling face in his final place of rest. Friends will be received at Burns Chapel Methodist Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown from 3:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, until the time of the funeral service on Thursday, March 15 at 1:00p.m with Rev. Francis Craker officiating. Burial will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.Donations may be made to Burns Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Wilma Burns, 2300 Summers School Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
