Obituary of Shawn Price

Shawn F. Price, 41, of Morgan Run Rd., Morgantown, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012.Shawn was born February 5, 1970 in Amarillo, TX, a son of George Rick Price of Morgantown and Sheila Hofer Voorhees of Blanchard, PA.Shawn was a 1989 graduate of Morgantown High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1995 to 2001, where he held several honors and awards. At the time of his honorable discharge, he had attained the rank of Sergeant.He donated his time as a volunteer for the Special Olympics. He also enjoyed heavy metal music, woodworking, NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and enjoyed being in the outdoors.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Shelly Ann Daft Price his children, Brooke Alexis, Krystalynne Stephanie and Mirandalee Faith Price brothers Ben Price and his wife Nikki, and Andrew Price all of Morgantown his maternal grandmother, Viola Faye Hofer of Morgantown and his nephew, Jonavin Frederick Price.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph Hofer, and his paternal grandmother, Hilda Z. Whitely.Family and friends will be received at Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, 802 Greenbag Rd., Morgantown on Thursday, February 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and again on Friday, February 3 from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service with Pastor Jamey Gremillion officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded following the funeral service.Following the funeral service, Shawnâs wishes for cremation will be honored by his family.In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Shawn's name to the Shawn F.
