Obituary of Mary Riskey

Mary Jane Riskey, 92, of Friendship Manor,Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown, formerly of Norwood passed away Friday, December 16, 2011, at Monongalia General Hospital.Born in Morgantown on October 6, 1919, Mary Jane was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Nellie (Keffer) Selby.She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Mary Jane was employed as a telephone operator for many years with C&P Telephone, later she and her husband, J. Kenneth Riskey opened and ran Riskeyâs T-K-B in Sabraton, she then retired from Morgantown Answering Service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Yedlosky of Brookhaven, Ethel Jane (E.J.) Clark and husband, Robert of Morgantown, her grandchildren, Robbie Clark, Shallon Oglesby and Lydia Longstreth, and 5 great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law James Yedlosky, a brother, Edmond K. Selby and a sister, Eleanor S. Henry. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Tuesday, December 20, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm with Rev. Michael Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
