Billy Jack Lipscomb, 60, of Greenwood, WV passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after a brief illness. Billy Jack was born in Parkersburg on June 30, 1951 , a son of the late Sylvanis Pete Lipscomb and the late Lilly Ruth May Henderson Lipscomb . Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Miller Lipscomb three sons, William Jack Lipscomb, Robert Matthew Lipscomb and Jason Pete Lipscomb and his wife, Jennifer, all of Greenwood seven grandchildren, Andrew Scott Lipscomb, Alexander Scott Lipscomb, David Robert Lipscomb, Haleigh Danielle Lipscomb, Carter Matthew Lipscomb, Josalyn Nichole Lipscomb and Jaycee Renee Lipscomb five siblings including Clarence Ray Lipscomb and his wife Billie of Greenwood, Dottie Stradley of West Union, Corlis Lipscomb and her husband Jerry of Greenwood, Danny Lipscomb and his wife Kerri of West Union, and Jimmy Lipscomb and his wife Sheila of Greenwood as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Lipscomb and a brother, Timmy Lispcomb Billy Jack was employed as a well tender at Energy Corporation of America with 23 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting or just always staying busy. He lived life to its fullest, and his happy, laid-back and mellow demeanor will always be remembered by those who knew him best. Billy Jackâs family is honoring his wishes for cremation. An Open Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 24, 2011 at Real Life Ministries in Greenwood, West Virginia from 5 to 8 pm. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is in charge of the arrangements.
