Obituary of Linda Tomkowski

Linda Kay Chetock Tomkowski, 64, of Morgantown, passed away early Sunday morning, September 18, 2011, at her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.Linda was born on May, 29, 1947 in Weirton, WV, a daughter of Joseph and Jane Zumer Chetock.Linda was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was an Administrator at the former St. Francis High School. She was also a teacher at Morgantown High School and University High School. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Anthony C. Tomkowski two daughters, Shelley Ann Shaffer and husband Michael Edward Shaffer of Kingwood and Melissa Lynn Forman and husband Arlie Clay Forman, Jr. of Morgantown four granddaughters, Ashley Michelle Shaffer, Caitlyn Elise Shaffer, Hannah Katherine Shaffer and Grace Jillian Forman her sister, Barbara Ann Haynes and husband Ron of Scott Depot, WV her brother, James Joseph Chetock of New Cumberland, WV and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, Tuesday, September 20, from 5-8 PM and again on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Fr. John V. DiBacco and Very Rev. Mark G. Ward, CP, VF as Con-Celebrants.
