We were sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Willis. We lived on Melrose St. from 1986 to 1989. It is strange that Sunday I was thinking specifically about Mrs. Willis. THen on Monday morning, we saw the funeral listing on Channel 5. In the 20+ years since we moved away, age has marched on. I'm having trouble with my ankles and knees now, and sometimes when it doesn't feel that great walking around, I think about Mrs. Willis always going on her early morning walks around the neighborhood. At the time, she usually had a noticable limp, but she was always out walking. In my mind, I wear a What Would Alice Willis Do bracelet which I look at when my ankles or knees aren't feeling that great. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.Jeff, Nancy and Allison McClure

Dear Charles, David and families, especially Beth: When Beth was growing up, she spent a lot of time at her grandparents home. She became a "Big Sister" to our daughter, Virginia while Bryan was Pastor at the Morgantown Church of the Brethren. Since Dick and Alice lived just behind the parsonage, we became good friends and spent many happy hours on the back porch at their house on Wiles Hill. Virginia thought of them as Grandma Alice and Grandpap and they treated her like she was their own granddaughter! Virginia and I visited Alice when we were on our way for Virginia to start College...it was a good visit, which we will treasure, along with our other memories!
