Obituary of Tina Arnold

Tina Marie Arnold, 44, of Pierpont Meadows Village, Morgantown, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, at Monongalia General Hospital after a lifetime of illness. She was born June 2, 1966, in Morgantown the daughter of the late Richard K. and Maxine S. (Tootie) Chidester. Tina was a loving wife, mother and friend to all she met. She was an avid rock hound and enjoyed the little things in life.She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1984 and started her family. Tina returned to school in 2000 and earned her certificate for Surgical Technician from MTEC. She then entered nursing school at Fairmont State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2007 with an RN degree (she described herself as a late bloomer). She also belonged to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for academic excellence. Tina worked for Amedisys Hospice Care and loved her patients and her co-workers as if they were family.Tina is survived by her loving husband, Barry L. Arnold, a son Zackery K. Arnold and a daughter Courtney D. Arnold all of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard (Rick) L. Chidester, an infant brother, David Christopher Chidester and both maternal and paternal grandparents. The family of Tina would like to thank Patty and Craig Colebank and their families for all the support that they gave Tina and her family through her lengthy illness. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 3-8p.m. on Wednesday, June 1. Visitation will continue at Nicholson Chapel Church on Thursday, June 2, from 12noon-1p.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 1p.m. with Rev. Craig L. Falkenstine officiating. Interment will follow in Nicholson Chapel Cemetery, Morgantown.
