Dear Smith Family, we are one of the families lucky enough to have Tammy as a teacher for our son, Drew. Want to let you know I am praying for your family. I have only known Tammy a short time--I got hired at the preschool a month or two after she did. I realized how special she was pretty quickly! She made an impact on everyone she met. I will truly miss her.

I had the priveledge of meeting Tammy a couple times as she dropped Katie off at Camp Luther... and the priveledge of getting to be Katie's counselor the past few years. In just those brief encounters I could see the love she had for Katie and the joy her children gave her. And I've seen in Katie a gentle & fun loving spirit and compassion for her peers that I am sure she learned in large part from her mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you Katie- and your whole family. The only comfort I have to offer is the reassurance that for your mom & wife, she is at peace and has no more suffering... We send our love and sympathy to your family. Tammy will be so missed. I can't remember a time a ever saw her without a huge smile on her face. As you know, everyone loved Tammy -- everyone. She was one of the happiest and kindest people I know. She was so involved with everything the boys did -- school parties, read aloud, baseball statistician -- she did it all!! Dave and all the family ~~I was so sorry to just learn the news of Tammy's passing. She and all of your family have been in my prayers for many months. It is unthinkable that she is gone at such a young age. Dear family,My son, Andrew, was in Tammy's K3 class last year and they adored each other. Andrew was sad to hear that she was sick, and we prayed for her every day over the last few months (if I forgot to say prayers one night, he'd remind me, "We need to pray for Mrs. Smith!"). Now that he knows she's with Jesus, he continues to pray for comfort for all of you (as we all do). We are so sorry that God didn't send a miracle in the way we'd hoped. We will dearly miss her. I know that her legacy will live on in the hearts of her kids - both biological and "adopted" from the preschool. Our deepest condolences to all of you.
