Drusilla âDrewâ Brison of Morgantown, WV passed away April 21, 2011, after a three month battle with cancer. She was born Jan 15, 1920, in Baltimore, MD.She was a former member of Drummond Chapel Methodist Church, now a member of Calvary Methodist Church of Cheat Lake. She was seamstress for Virginia Chittum Dance School and Charlotte Dance Studio for several years. As a seamstress, she made costumes for the Mohiganettes and drum majorette. Drew participated as a long time member of the Pythian Sisters and Dames of Malta. She worked the polls at Suncrest Elementary School for many elections.She is survived by her five children: Beverly Baier & husband George of Westminster, MD Drusilla Simpkins of Odenton, MD Marguerite Wilson of Morgantown, WV Harry Brison & wife Cheryl of Morgantown, WV, and Joyce Lowdermilk & husband James of Cheat Lake, WV 11 grandchildren: Christopher Baier, Scott Baier, Laura Roche, Charlene âSherriâ Franzoi, Robin Simpkins, Brice Simpkins, David Brison, Levi Wilson, Sawyer Brison, Trevor Brison, and Andrew Lowdermilk 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one nephew, Robert Rayner & wife Sharon of Ormand Beach, MD.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Brison and her sister, Pauline Rayner.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Saturday, April 23. Visitation will continue at Calvary Methodist Church, Cheat Lake, from 10-11am on Monday, April 25. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11am Monday morning with Pastor Michael J. Rowe officiating. Following the funeral service, Mrs. Brisonâs wishes for cremation will be honored, and inurnment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
